A straightforward onboarding, then a rhythm you can set your calendar by.
A free 30-minute call to understand your business and where your books stand today.
QuickBooks Online connected, chart of accounts built, and any backlog brought current.
Transactions categorized, accounts reconciled, and books closed by an agreed date each month.
A plain-English summary and your P&L and balance sheet, delivered so you actually read them.
Precise, audit-trained bookkeeping — direct from the person doing the work, not a team you never meet.
I spent years in public accounting auditing companies' books before I ever kept one for a living. That means I catch what generalist bookkeepers miss, and I bring the same standard of accuracy your auditor would expect — because I used to be the one checking.
You get one person, not a rotating team: I know your business, your chart of accounts, and your numbers personally, every month.
No surprises, no hourly billing.

Schedule a callI'm deliberately focused on doing bookkeeping and cleanups exceptionally well, rather than being a jack-of-all-trades. I don't currently handle tax filing, payroll, or AP/AR management — if you need those, I'm happy to refer you to trusted partners, and I'll flag it clearly during our first call so there are no surprises about scope.
Not satisfied with your first month? You don't pay. I'd rather earn your trust than ask you to take a risk on someone new.

Mission Balance & Books is a solo bookkeeping practice based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before going independent, I worked in public accounting — the same rigor now goes into every reconciliation and monthly close, minus the big-firm overhead.
You get one point of contact who actually knows your books, not a rotating queue of staff.
Anything else, just ask on the intro call.
I offer two services: monthly bookkeeping and cleanup bookkeeping. At the end of each month, I reconcile your bank and credit card accounts, categorize transactions, and close the books. You'll then receive that month's P&L and a short summary of your financials. I don't currently offer other services, but I'm happy to refer you to a trusted partner who does.
While handling your own books might save some money, setting up QuickBooks correctly, categorizing transactions, and reconciling accounts takes real expertise. I understand accounting principles and tax regulations so you don't have to learn them. Outsourcing frees you up to focus on the core parts of your business — acquiring customers and selling your products or services. Over time, that saved time and effort compounds into real money for your business.
Bookkeeping is the day-to-day recording of financial transactions and ensuring a company's books are accurate and balanced at the end of each period. Accounting is the analysis and reporting of financial data for a business. While I bring an accounting background, my current scope is strictly bookkeeping — done with an accountant's eye for detail.
Whether you've considered other bookkeepers or handling this in-house, I bring dedicated, detail-focused bookkeeping to your business. My background as an auditor trained me to catch discrepancies a general bookkeeper might miss. I'm available to talk through your books as much or as little as you'd like. I love helping small businesses thrive, and I believe every thriving business starts with balanced books.
Books that are balanced every month give you the accurate financial data you need to make strategic decisions, manage cash flow, spot profitable and unprofitable areas, and apply for loans. Each month, you'll have a clear picture of your business's financial health.
